Dear Friends,
Hello, AD11! As summer comes to an end, I hope this message finds you well and that you've had the chance to enjoy some of the amazing events in our district. The legislative session has officially wrapped up, and my team and I are looking forward to some well-deserved downtime as we wait for the Governor to take action on the bills sent to his desk. I'm proud to share that we have nine bills awaiting his signature, with three already signed into law!
As we close out summer, I want to take a moment to highlight the importance of September, which is National Suicide Prevention Month. This month serves as a reminder to check in on one another and support those struggling. Let's continue to break the stigma around mental health and ensure that no one in our community feels alone.
As we pause to recharge, my staff and I are looking ahead to planning for the next legislative session. Thank you for your continued support and engagement throughout this busy year. We look forward to sharing more updates and connecting with you all soon. Please follow us on social media for updates and events throughout AD11.
In this update, you'll find the following:
Whether it's my District Office or my Capitol Office, my door is always open for the people of the 11th Assembly District.
Warm regards,
Lori D. Wilson
Assemblywoman, District 11

IN THE DISTRICT
AD11 at Benicia City Hall
The AD11 event at Benicia City Hall was fantastic! It was great connecting with city officials, local business owners, nonprofits, and constituents in one-on-one meetings. As a facilitator, it's crucial for me to hear directly from the community about your needs and concerns. Your input helps guide our efforts to make meaningful changes. I look forward to continuing these important conversations at the next AD11 at City Hall event, which will be in October. Stay tuned for more details!
Black Girl Joy Festival
I was thrilled to have spoken at the 2024 Northern California Black Girl Joy Festival, presenting a resolution in honor of Black Girl Joy Day! This event, hosted by the CA Black Women's Collective Empowerment Institute, celebrates and empowers our young Black girls. Let's continue to uplift and support their brilliance and resilience.
