SACRAMENTO – The Special Olympics is the world’s largest sports program for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Through the power of sports, children and adults with intellectual disabilities discover new strengths, abilities, confidence, and success on the playing field and in life.

Assemblymember Jim Frazier (D-Discovery Bay) authored Assembly Concurrent Resolution 210 to recognize the accomplishments of the Special Olympics and designate April 11 as Special Olympics Day in California. The full Assembly approved ACR 210 with a unanimous vote.

SACRAMENTO – Assemblymember Jim Frazier, D-Discovery Bay, has introduced a bill to help the nonprofit that administers California’s organ and tissue registry raise more funds to help it carry out its vital mission. AB 2096 would establish a voluntary contribution fund for Donate Life California, giving state tax filers the option to donate all or part of their tax refunds to DLC when they are filling out their tax forms.

Your efforts to increase the number of Californians signed up for the organ and tissue donation registry is absolutely fantastic,” Assemblymember Frazier said.

SACRAMENTO – The Assembly’s Natural Resources Committee today unanimously approved AB 2441, a bill by Assemblymember Jim Frazier, D-Discovery Bay, which would secure funding to remove abandoned and derelict commercial marine vessels throughout the Delta region.
