Assemblymember Frazier Honored as Elected Official of the Year at the 26th Annual Transportation Award Ceremony
Sacramento, CA – Assemblymember Jim Frazier (D – Oakley) was honored as the 2014 Elected Official of the Year by the California Transportation Foundation (CTF) at an award ceremony in Sacramento.
“I feel fortunate to receive an award for doing work that I’m truly passionate about,” said Assemblymember Frazier. “I have spent a lot of quality time at the state and local level to help reestablish our State as an innovative leader in transportation. As Chair of the Assembly Transportation Committee, I look forward to continuing on the path towards enhancing traffic safety, improving highway infrastructure and restoring funding for critically needed projects in California.”
The award ceremony recognizes achievements in California transportation in four categories, including: Project of the Year, Person of the Year, Organization of the Year and Elected Official of the Year. Assemblymember Frazier was honored as Elected Official of the Year for authoring four successful bills that address important transportation issues. His legislation, AB 417, AB 1070, AB 1857 and AB 513, promoted the advancement of infrastructure projects, advocated for infrastructure funding and raised public awareness surrounding roadway safety.
Assemblymember Frazier served as a member of the Assembly Transportation Committee for two years prior to being appointed as Chair. His legislative career has focused heavily on addressing top priority transportation issues, including the advancement of infrastructure projects, advocating for vital infrastructure funding and raising public awareness surrounding roadway safety.
