National Small Business Week Begins May 12, 2014
Sacramento, CA – Assemblymember Jim Frazier (D – Oakley) recognizes National Small Business Week, which takes place from Monday, May 12th to Sunday, May 18th. Every year since 1963, National Small Business Week has recognized the critical contributions of entrepreneurs and small business owners nationwide.
“The ability to build success through small business is an integral part of the American Dream,” said Assemblymember Frazier. “As a former small business owner, I appreciate the vital contributions these small businesses make to strengthen communities across America. I will continue to be an advocate for legislation that provides innovative business owners with the tools they need to be successful in California.”
Small businesses play an essential role in California's local and regional economies. They serve as a primary job creator, and are essential to the state’s economic health and well-being. Currently, the California Legislature is working to enact sensible and responsible measures that will help our small businesses continue to thrive.
