Veteran Driver’s License and ID Cards for California Military Service Members
(Sacramento) – Assemblymember Jim Frazier (D-Oakley) fought for three years to get Assembly Bill 935 – which allows United States military service members to apply for a California driver’s license or ID card with a “Veteran” designation – signed into law. Now it’s the law and that’s good news for veterans. “With the growing population of veterans returning to California, it is our responsibility to help make sure they are well-equipped to integrate back into civilian life,” said Assemblymember Frazier. “Assembly Bill 935 helps us fulfill that pledge to our veterans. Proof of military service is now literally at the individual’s fingertips, which will help ensure that California veterans are receiving all the benefits and services they’re rightfully entitled to.” Learn more about the new Veteran ID law in this Assembly Access video.
