(SACRAMENTO) - Jim Frazier (D-Oakley) today was sworn in as the Assemblymember for the 11th Assembly District, which includes the communities of Fairfield, Pittsburg, Isleton, Rio Vista, Brentwood, Vacaville and Fairfield. The ceremony was held on the Assembly Floor at noon.
"I am humbled that the voters put their trust in me," said Frazier. "I will be mindful of that trust as I make every public policy decision while I hold this office.
"While we are clearly seeing the beginnings of an economic recovery in California, it needs to be faster and stronger. Given that dynamic, my top priority of the area is…job creation. I will work to do this by forging solutions with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle. I will also continue my work to improve safety on our roads, highways and freeways in all of California."
The Honorable Mary Lou Villar de Longoria, a Judge with the Los Angeles Superior Court, administered the oath of office.
