SACRAMENTO – Assemblymember Jim Frazier, D-Discovery Bay, chairman of the Assembly Transportation Committee, released the following statement today after the California Joint Legislative Audit Committee approved an audit of the state’s High Speed Rail project.

“I am pleased the Joint Committee approved this audit. Having the State Auditor look into contract management and methods for future cost containment is a great first step to improving the project. High Speed Rail is the largest infrastructure project in the nation and this oversight is necessary to ensure that voters who approved this are getting what was promised to them.”
