(Sacramento)  Assemblymember Jim Frazier (D-Discovery Bay), chairman of the Assembly Transportation Committee, thanked Erik Estrada for his longtime support of the California Highway Patrol with an Assembly Resolution. “While we may all remember Erik as Ponch from the television drama CHiPS, Erik’s real life dedication to public safety is what we are here to honor today,” Assemblymember Frazier said. “Erik is an active advocate for the CHP 11-99 Foundation, an organization that provides benefits and scholarships to CHP family members, as well as funeral expenses for fallen officers.” To see the entire speech, watch this Assembly Access  video.
