(Sacramento) - Assembly Transportation Committee Chair Jim Frazier (D-Oakley) says the landmark Road Repair and Transportation Investment Package announced by Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon (D-Paramount), Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. and Senate President pro Tempore Kevin de León is an excellent start to repairing California roads, bridges and infrastructure and put more dollars toward transit and safety. The $5 billion-a-year program will cost most drivers less than $10 a month and comes with strict new accountability provisions to ensure funds can only be spent on transportation. “Rome was not built in a day and we’ll continue to work on this process,” said Assemblymember Frazier. “but this a huge step and will make a great impact on the deferred maintenance in California.” Here’s more in this Assembly Access video.
