Thursday, March 8, 2018

(Sacramento) - Assemblymember Jim Frazier (D-Discovery Bay) recently asked for more funding for Community Based Vocational Development Services (CBVD), which provides job training for developmentally disabled individuals seeking employment. “Individuals in community integrated work settings gain confidence, have a higher quality of life, contribute to their local economy, pay taxes, and rely less on publically funded dollars,” Assemblymember Frazier said. “Currently, individuals with developmental disabilities are restricted in their opportunities.” To learn more about CBVD programs, watch this Assembly Access video.
