Assemblymember Frazier Recognizes National Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month

(Sacramento)  – The California State Assembly declared March 2018 as Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month by passing House Resolution 89, authored by Assemblymember Jim Frazier (D-Discovery Bay). As he presented HR 89 to the Assembly, he spoke about the importance of creating a more inclusive society. “It is estimated that nearly 1.6 percent of the California population are living with developmental disabilities; young and old,” Assemblymember Frazier said. “While much progress has been gained toward improving the lives of people with developmental disabilities, there remain challenges.” To learn more about National Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month, watch this Assembly Access  video.
