FAIRFIELD, CA — Gov. Gavin Newsom on Wednesday signed into law two bills authored by Assemblywoman Lori Wilson that support flood control projects, habitat restoration and the needs of farmers in Solano County.
Assembly Bill 345, Wilson's Office said in a statement, provides the Department of Water Resources "with discretionary authority to utilize an advanced payment option when funding local flood protection and multi-benefit habitat restoration projects."
The bill was sponsored by the Little Egbert Joint Powers Agency. The Little Egbert project is promoted as "a large-scale flood protection and habitat restoration project" in Solano County.
