Assemblywoman Lori D. Wilson To Host East Contra Costa Historical Society’s Exhibit Oakley History Through Time

For immediate release:

SUISUN CITY, CA – From August 14 to August 18, Assemblymember Lori Wilson’s Suisun City District Office located at One Harbor Center Suite 270, Suisun City, CA 94585, will host the Oakley History Through Time mobile exhibit as its last stop on its Contra Costa/Solano County tour.

This exhibit was made possible because of the City of Oakley Community Improvement Grant that was awarded to the East Contra Costa Historical Society (ECCHS). The Historical Society provides content and materials for a mobile exhibit featuring Oakley History Through Time.  This easily transportable exhibit features 5 banners for venue display throughout the greater community. The message reinforces civic pride, accomplishment, and sense of place. The following themes are emphasized.

  • Early Settlers: Indigenous, Emigrant and Immigrant
  • Historic Sites and Architecture
  • Agriculture and Packing Heritage
  • Delta Trials and Milestones
  • Modern Day”

Juli Del Barbra Favalora, 4th generation Oakley native, is the project manager for the grant. It is a great way to collaborate with the City and ECCHS. This project allows us to expose the community to local history and participate in informative events for families and children.

Assemblymember Lori Wilson invites you to bring your family, friends and more down to her District Office in Suisun City. The office is open from 9:00 am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday.
