Assemblymember Jim Frazier Introduces First Measure, Assembly Bill 287, To Honor Vietnam Veterans

Sacramento, CA - Assemblymember Jim Frazier today introduced his first bill in the California State Assembly.  The measure, Assembly Bill 287, requires the California Department of Veterans Affairs to annually compile a list of names of eligible Vietnam veterans to be added to the California Vietnam Veterans Memorial.

The Memorial is located on the grounds of the State Capitol in Sacramento, to honor those who died during the Vietnam War.  However, some California veterans deserving of inclusion on the Memorial were not included in the original list.

Solano County-area leaders weigh in on State of the State

It was Gov. Jerry Brown who offered praise to everyone for beating the odds and continuing to make California a great state.

He lauded the Legislature for cutting billions from the state budget, curbing prison spending with realignment and reducing the state's long-term pension liabilities. He continued the accolades to the voters who embraced the new taxes of Proposition 30.

Assemblymember Jim Frazier Statement on Governor Brown's State of the State Address

Sacramento, CA - Assemblymember Jim Frazier released the following statement today in response to Governor Edmund G. Brown's State of the State address:

I appreciate the Governor's vision and leadership, and his ongoing commitment to the long-term success of California.

I believe the Governor's focus on education and job creation are the keys to restoring our fiscal health and getting California back on track. Working together, we can ensure that all California students receive a quality education, have access to affordable higher education, and can put their skills to work in good-paying jobs.

Frazier gearing up to represent East County

Like many East County residents’ commute, Jim Frazier’s begins before the sun rises. He leaves his Oakley home around 6 a.m. to represent East County residents in Sacramento as the newly elected state assemblyman of District 11.

“I absolutely love it,” Frazier said. “I can’t wait to get there each morning. I’m so fortunate to work with an amazing staff to serve the people I represent. It’s exciting to meet with people and hear their ideas. It’s always been my dream to serve and help others.”

State public schools chief hails future training center in Fairfield

With the empty former Camping World store behind him, soon to be a new, $13 million sheet metal shop and training center, California public schools chief Tom Torlakson said Thursday that the planned 43,000-square-foot facility in Fairfield signals "a strong economy, a stronger California."

Solano, CA - Assemblymember Jim Frazier invites you to join him on Saturday, January 19th for a heartwarming day of volunteer opportunities to help the Solano SPCA.

Saturday, January 19th, 2013, is the National Day of Service, which is a time to honor President Obama's Inauguration and commemorate Martin Luther King's vision of community service. Assemblyman Frazier will be volunteering from Noon until 4 pm at the Solano SPCA, helping them with important projects to keep their facilities nice and pleasant for both humans and future family pets.

Frazier secures Assembly Transportation and Water, Parks and Wildlife Committee assignments

Antioch’s new representative in Sacramento has secured positions on two key California State Assembly committees that will benefit the community.

Assembly Speaker John Pérez assigned Assemblyman Jim Frazier to three standing committees for the 2013-2014 legislative session: Insurance Committee, Transportation Committee and Water, Parks and Wildlife Committee.  As previously announced by Pérez, Frazier will also serve as Chair of the Assembly Accountability and Administrative Review Committee.
