Frazier statement on Gov Newsom’s announcement he does not support the twin tunnels project

SACRAMENTO – Assemblymember Jim Frazier (D-Discovery Bay), whose district encompasses a large portion of the Delta, issued the following statement today after Gov. Gavin Newsom said in his State of the State address he does not support the twin tunnels project.

 “I’m grateful Governor Newsom has been willing to listen to local stakeholders in the battle for the future of the Delta. His unequivocal denunciation of the twin tunnels project is a step in the right direction. I look forward to working with the governor to convince him there are alternative water delivery solutions that are economical and can be delivered in a timely manner, nullifying the need for even a single tunnel.”

Frazier invites community to Open House in Fairfield Feb. 21

FAIRFIELD – Assemblymember Jim Frazier (D-Discovery Bay) invites residents of Assembly District 11 to an Open House 4-6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 21 at his Fairfield District Office. The Open House will be an opportunity for constituents to meet the Assemblymember and new additions to his district staff.

SACRAMENTO – Assemblymember Jim Frazier (D-Discovery Bay), chair of the Assembly Transportation Committee, will hold a press conference on Thursday, Feb. 7, in Room 317 at the State Capitol to publicize a bill to crack down on the increasing illegal use of phones while driving.

SACRAMENTO – Assemblymember Jim Frazier (D-Discovery Bay) has introduced a bill to require the state’s electric utility companies to move their equipment and transmission lines out of forests, and other regions where the potential for fire is high, or bury or fireproof it, to prevent the ignition of devastating and deadly wildfires.

New district staff ready to serve constituents

SACRAMENTO – Assemblymember Jim Frazier (D-Discovery Bay), who has represented Assembly District 11 since 2012, announces staff additions for his district offices and his committee assignments for the new session.

“It is an honor and a privilege to be able to continue to serve the people of the 11th Assembly District,” Frazier said. “The new session under a new governor will provide new opportunities to serve the district, including increasing protection of the Delta, assisting veterans, improving transportation and expanding opportunities for the intellectually and developmentally disabled population. SACRAMENTO – A California legislator is hosting a town hall in Riverside the evening of Wednesday, Dec. 5 for individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities and their families and caretakers to share their experiences about the challenges they face and what the state can do to better service the community.
