SACRAMENTO – Assemblymember Jim Frazier, D-Discovery Bay, issued the following statement today in response to alleged unlawful ex parte communications between the State Water Resources Control Board and the Department of Water Resources regarding the proposed Delta tunnels outlined in complaints filed by Delta region local governments, public agencies and advocacy organizations.

SACRAMENTO – Assemblymember Jim Frazier, D-Discovery Bay, is scheduled on Monday to participate at events to celebrate the birthday of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in Fairfield and Antioch. He is slated to speak at both events.

“I wish I’d had the opportunity to know Dr. King; he was a man of great character,” said Frazier, a Life Member of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.

“The governor today presented a balanced proposed budget that meets the constitutional requirement of maintaining a healthy ‘Rainy Day Fund’ and increases our investment in transportation and education at all levels.

SACRAMENTO – A town hall that Assemblymember Jim Frazier (D-Discovery Bay) and Sen. Bill Dodd (D-Napa) are hosting Thursday morning in Walnut Grove to examine mounting financial concerns with the proposed WaterFix project will be live-streamed. A link to watch the town hall live will be posted at the websites of Frazier and Dodd.

The town hall will be held at the Jean Harvie Community Center, 14273 River Road, in Walnut Grove, from 10 am. to noon. Members of the public are invited to attend.
