SACRAMENTO, CA – The California Assembly Judiciary Committee today advanced Assembly Bill 957, The TGI (Transgender, Gender-Diverse, and Intersex) Youth Empowerment Act, by Assemblywoman Lori D. Wilson (D-Suisun City).
Most of the the people incarcerated by the state of California are required to work while serving their prison sentences. The labor they do includes construction work, hospice care, computer coding and firefighting (joining fire crews is volunteer-based).
