SACRAMENTO – Immediately after taking the oath of office for the 2019-20 legislative session today, Assemblymember Jim Frazier (D-Discovery Bay) introduced a Resolution to name a portion of Interstate 505 in Vacaville in the memory of CHP Officer Kirk Anthony Griess, who was killed on duty earlier this year while conducting a traffic stop on Interstate 80 in Solano County.

SACRAMENTO – During a Delta Stewardship Council hearing on the appeals of the Certification of Consistency for California WaterFix, Assemblymember Jim Frazier (D-Discovery Bay) requested that the Council reject the Department of Water Resources’ Certification of Consistency, to protect the Delta and its residents.

Select Committee on Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities to hold hearing in Concord Oct. 24

SACRAMENTO – The Assembly Select Committee on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities will hold a hearing Wednesday, Oct. 24, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Concord City Council Chambers, 1950 Parkside Drive in Concord.

Assemblymember Jim Frazier (D-Discovery Bay), who chairs the Committee, and Assemblymember Timothy S. Grayson (D-Concord), are scheduled to attend the hearing, which will serve as a listening session for the local I/DD community to speak about their experiences. Other Bay Area legislators may also attend the hearing.

SACRAMENTO – Assemblymember Jim Frazier (D-Discovery Bay), chair of the Assembly Select Committee on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, has announced that he plans to have the Committee hold hearings in communities around the state in the coming weeks and months to assess how Californians with I/DD are being served by the state and their local communities.

SACRAMENTO – Gov. Jerry Brown has signed a bill by Assemblymember Jim Frazier (D-Discovery Bay), chairman of the Assembly Transportation Committee, which clears the path to start replacing diesel and gasoline fueled commercial trucks with zero-emission and near-zero-emission models. AB 2061 was approved by the Legislature with strong bipartisan support.

SACRAMENTO – Gov. Jerry Brown has signed a bill by Assemblymember Jim Frazier (D-Discovery Bay) that seeks to remedy the problem of derelict commercial vessels in Delta waterways. Assembly Bill 2441 directs the State Lands Commission, in consultation with state and local agencies, to develop a comprehensive plan for the removal of these hazardous craft.
